Summary

2003-04-25: Update - General Aviation - All company towbars have been repainted bright Orange. This was done to maximize the visibility of the towbars. All staff have been briefed on proper use and storage of towbars.This procedure is outlined in a recent Company internal memo
2003-02-26: An Air Labrador aircraft landed on Runway 31 in Gander and reported to the tower that there was an object on the runway. Airport Vehicle Red 3 investigated and found a small tow bar just east of the intersection of Runways 31 and 22. Further investigation revealed that Gander Flight Training had landed and departed a Seminole, and prior to that two Cessna 172s. The tow bar was approximately 42 inches long. It is suspected that an aircraft taxied for departure with tow bar attached.
