Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2003-02-06: A Beech 200 enroute from Halifax to St. John's was at Flight Level 290 40 Nautical miles South West of Sydney and reported a shattered windsreen. The aircraft requested a decent and return to Halifax. There were 4 souls on board and 3200lb of fuel. RCC was advised. The aircraft landed at 1340Z in Halifax without further incident, or involvement with other aircraft.
2003-02-20: Update - Maintenance & Manufacturing - 2003/02/13 - Heated outer panel of the windscreen shattered during level flight at 290. The Pressure vessel not affected. The aircraft returned to Halifax where a local maintenance facility installed a new windscreen.
