Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)
2003-01-08: A Piper Navajo enroute from Halifax to Sydney declared an Emergency and returned to Halifax due to a Rough running engine. The aircraft landed safely at 1636Z. A delay was experienced by one departing aircraft as a result of the emergency.
2003-02-06: Update Maintenance & Manufacturing - The aircraft had just departed Halifax when the pilot felt a slight roughness in one of the engines. He elected to return to Halifax and landed uneventfully. Maintenance performed a full power run on both engines. No problems were evident, no roughness or other abnormality. An entry describing the engine run was made and certified in the aircraft record and the aircraft was returned to service. No reports of any reoccurrence of this or any other similar problem have been submitted by the operator to date.
