Incident at SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ) (Aerodrome - other)

Summary

2003-01-07: While deicing the aircraft, the deicing vehicle had a small fire start in rear of vehicle in the deicing regulator. This was noticed immediately by the vehicle operator. Propane was turned off immediately, The fire went out and passengers disembarked the aircraft. The vehicle immediately moved to the side of taxiway. The Fire department was notified of situation, Fire Chief investigated, vehicle put out of service until repaired. No damage to equipment, other than to replace damaged regulator.
