Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC) (Aerodrome - operations)

2001-10-16: Customs Officials detained a passenger attempting to board ACA3088 when they found some white powdery substance on his person. Not certain what the substance was the officials shut down the customs area while they investigated. This meant the Calgary Airport had no customs available for foreign incoming flights during the investigation. The Airport resumed normal customs operations at 02:30Z and during the shutdown time only one aircraft, AAL641 from Dallas, had to be diverted. It went to Edmonton to clear customs before flying to Calgary.
