Summary

2001-10-15: When abeam Edmonton International Airport at FL390, Speedbird 287 reported a very bright meteorite or item of space debris, visible for several seconds, travelling east to west near the horizon and leaving a smoke trail. Shortly thereafter, a private citizen calling from Calgary reported a bright silver firey object 20 to 30 degrees above the horizon travelling northwest and leaving a brownish orange smoke trail.
