Summary

2001-10-11: CMM 7541, a B737, was on short final to Runway 18 at Winnipeg when the crew elected to overshoot because of heavy bird activity near the runway. The crew stayed on Tower frequency, did a circuit and landed safely on Runway 18 at 1335Z.
2001-10-19: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that Winnipeg International Airport has an ongoing wildlife monitoring and control program. The aircraft in question was outside the jurisdiction of the program when this incident ocurred.
