Incident at Mia Lake (75 NM E of Norman Wells)

Summary

2001-10-05: The pilot of C-FSLA, a Cessna 180 on floats enroute from Norman Wells to Fort Simpson Island, advised Norman Wells FSS during his flight that he was losing engine power and intended to land. At 2300Z, the aircraft landed safely on Mia Lake. A helicopter has been sent to retrieve the pilot. No injuries or damage were reported. TSB will contact the operator.
