Incident at BRANDON MUNI MB (CYBR)

Summary

2001-09-26: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the engine fuel shut-off valve did not close completely on engine shutdown, allowing residual fuel to enter the hot section until fuel pressure had bled off. The valve has been replaced and an an SDR will be submitted.
2001-09-25: PAG 501, a Metro II, arrived at Brandon on a flight from Winnipeg and after the crew had shut down, one of the pilots noticed a small fire in the left engine. CFR was called and the pilot was able to extinguish the fire before the CFR arrived. TSB will be contacting the company.
