Accident at GRANDE PRAIRIE AB (CYQU) (Aerodrome - visual aids)


2001-11-01: UPDATE General Aviation reported that they were unable to contact owner of C-GANT via phone. A copy of the Recreational Aviation Safety Improvement Report was mailed to the registered owner for his input and to let owner know that TC is aware of the incident.
2001-09-18: The pilot of C-GANT, a Lightning Bug homebuilt a/c, was conducting a high speed taxi down Runway 11 at Grande Prairie and could not brake fast enough to stop from running over the runway threshold lights. It was reported that the propeller sustained extensive damage when it hit two runway threshold lights. A wheel pan was also torn off the aircraft. There were no reported injuries.
