Summary

2001-09-04: At approximately 0738Z, the crew of CAL 011, a B747 enroute from New York to Anchorage advised Winnipeg Center they were diverting to Winnipeg due to a medical emergency. The pilot informed the control staff that they had a 49 year old passenger on board suffering from apparent cardiac arrest. Arrangements were made for ground handling in Winnipeg and for an ambulance and medical staff to meet the flight upon its arrival. CAL 011 landed on Runway 18 in Winnipeg at 0812Z.
