Incident at FORT MCMURRAY AB (CYMM)

Summary

2001-09-04: CPB 500, a Saab 340, was landing at Fort McMurray when it hit a nighthawk on roll-out at approximately 60 knots, right on the nose of the aircraft. The obviously rugged bird was only stunned and was released by airport personnel. There was no damage to the aircraft.
2001-09-05: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that they contacted the Fort McMurray airport manager, who advised that the bird and wildlife plan is in place. No further action required.
