Incident at BURWASH YT (CYDB) (Conflict - loss of separation, ATS operating irregularity)


2001-08-31: UPDATE ANS and Airspace reported that a Fact Finding Board will be convened as soon as possible.
2001-08-30: CCP 9632, a B727, was enroute from Fairbanks, Alaska to a destination in the western USA and was estimated at Burwash at 0235Z, while CAL 204, a B747, enroute from Anchorage to New York, was estimated over Burwash at 0218Z. The two aircraft progressed to Burwash with 8 minutes between them, which is less than the required 10 minutes needed in this area. TSB reported that an incorrect estimate time was passed between Nav Canada controllers.
