Incident at RED DEER REGIONAL AB (CYQF)

Summary

2001-08-28: C-FPNA, a Piper PA-24 Comanche, was being used for a local pleasure flight in the Red Deer area. On return to the airport, the pilot completed one touch-and-go landing. While on the second landing the gear collapsed. It was reported that during the downwind check the gear lights were green and that while on final approach, the gear horn did not alarm when the throttle was set to idle power. The owner will advise if a technical problem is identified. Aircraft damage was limited to the engine and door panels.
