Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC) (ATS operating irregularity)

Summary

2001-08-31: UPDATE ANS and Airspace reported that no Fact Finding Board Investigation is anticipated
2001-08-23: The crew of WJA 94, a Boeing 737, was given takoff clearance for Runway 16 at Calgary while ARN 8454, a Fokker F28, was still on it's landing roll on Runway 28 and not through the intersection. The Tower Controller realizing this, immediately cancelled the clearance for WJA 94 before the crew could start their takeoff roll. Preliminary investigation revealed that there was no loss of separation. Simultaneous Intersecting Runway Operations (SIRO) was in effect.
