Incident at LA RONGE (BARBER FIELD) SK (CYVC)

Summary

2001-08-10: The National Aviation Centre Piper PA-31-350 was en route from Prince Albert to Fond Du Lac, SK, when the crew noted a vibration and oil loss from the right engine. The engine (Lycoming TIO-540) was shut down and the flight was diverted to La Ronge, where it landed without further incident with emergency crews standing by. Maintenance found that the engine had sustained an internal mechanical failure.
