Incident at WAINWRIGHT (CFB CAMP WAINWRIGHT FIELD)

Summary

2001-08-08: UPDATE It was later reported that the British aircrew reported the incident to the RCMP and they accompanied the police to the area where they thought the wirestrike occurred. They could find no evidence of any cut or damaged wires in the area and there was also no damage to the helicopter.
2001-08-07: AAC (British Army Air Corps) 620, an Aerospatiale SA 341 Gazelle helicopter, was enroute to Camp Wainwright (CFF7) from Springbank when the helicopter clipped a powerline. No injuries or damage were reported and AAC 620 arrived at CFF7 without further incident.
