Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2001-07-24: KBA 900 Trainer, a Beech King Air, was conducting practice instrument approaches at Calgary and while downwind for Runway 16, in the vicinity of the Twin Stacks at 4,500 feet ASL, the pilot reported a bird strike. KBA 900T immediately landed safely on Runway 16. The pilot later reported that the type and size of bird were unknown but the remains of the bird were white and gray feathers and blood. There was some damage to the 'sheet metal' forward of the windscreen.
