Incident at SUFFIELD

Summary

2001-07-20: The Edmonton ACC Medicine Hat Sector Controller advised Medicine Hat (YXH) FSS of an unknown aircraft penetrating the CFB Suffield Range without authorization. YXH FSS broadcasted blind and the pilot of C-GECC, a Piper Arrow enroute from Calgary to Maple Creek, SK, reported within the restricted area. Suffield Range personnel were notified and advised that the present track of the aircraft would clear any active areas. C-GECC reported clear at 1545Z.
