Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2001-07-18: The Westjet Airlines 737-200 was departing Calgary, AB for Hamilton, ON. During the initial take off run, the number two engine experienced compressor stalls during acceleration through 1.25 EPR. The takeoff was aborted at 10 knots and the aircraft returned to the gate to de-plane the passengers and switch aircraft. The Pratt and Whitney JT8D-17 engine has been removed for inspection.
