Incident at THOMPSON MB (CYTH)

Summary

2001-07-10: The pilot of C-IGUM, a Birdman Chinook ultralight, was doing circuits at Thompson airport, then decided to go to the northwest of the airport to do some airwork. Shortly after, he advised FSS that he was returning to the field due to engine problems. AFF was put on standby and the a/c eventually landed safely, some 9 minutes after advising FSS of the difficulty. No other a/c were inconvenienced. The nature of the engine problem is unknown.
