Incident at FORT MCMURRAY AB (CYMM)

Summary

2001-06-29: UPDATE M. & M. reported that the crew utilized the emergency extension procedure to lower the gear. Maintenance action revealed a failure of a system check valve. The component was replaced, system function checked and the aircraft returned to service.
2001-06-28: The crew of AM 32, a BAe 31, was enroute from Fort Chipewyan to Fort McMurray. While on approach the crew advised ATC that they had a hydraulic problem. Emergency equipment was requested. They did a fly-by over the FSS and it was confirmed that the gear appeared to be down and locked. The aircraft landed without further incident at 1854Z. One helicoter was delayed until AM 32 had landed.
