Incident at ST. PAUL AB (CEW3)


2001-06-27: UPDATE TSB reported that during the landing at St. Paul, the main gear of the amateur built Velocity Elite RG collapsed and the aircraft slid down the runway. The air intake, propeller and exhaust pipes were damaged. When the aircraft was recovered and lifted, the main gear dropped into the locked position. No descrepencies were found during the gear check.
2001-06-22: The pilot of C-FZST, a Velocity Elite homebuilt, was on a flight from Rainbow Lake to St. Paul. Upon landing on Runway 08, the main landing gear collapsed. The aircraft came to rest just off the threshold of Runway 26. Minor damage to the aircraft was reported.
