Incident at RESOLUTE BAY NU (CYRB) (Incursion - runway - vehicle)
2001-06-15: One Narwhal and three CO-OP vehicles drove onto the ramp at Resolute Bay airport to meet passengers inbound on a military C-130 Hercules. As the C-130 taxied to to the ramp, the vehicles moved out of the way until the aircraft parked and shut down, then proceeded to park near the aircraft to pick up passengers. In the meantime a PA-31 Navajo taxied in and because of the vehicles, the pilot could not taxi to the fuel drums and had to park some distance away and roll the drums to the aircraft. The CARS O/C advised the vehicle owners about rules regulating vehicle movement on the apron.
2001-06-27: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that airport users who have access to the apron at Resolute Bay have been re-briefed on the policy regarding parking on the apron.
