Incident at CHURCHILL MB (CYYQ)

Summary

2001-06-05: The pilot of N7065H, a homebuilt Private Explorer amphibian a/c, was enroute from Baker Lake to Moosenee VFR and called Churchill CARS prior to 2200Z on 122.1. Churchill CARS replied to the pilot, but did not receive a response. At approximately 2200Z, the Churchill CARS operator received a call from a refueller, via scanner, to advise that N7065H had landed on Runway 07 at Churchill. There were no vehicles or other aircraft on the runway at the time. The pilot had landed without establishing communication with Churchill CARS and did not receive an information service. (This is the second alleged MF radio violation for this a/c; see CADORS 2001C0497).
