Incident at FORT MCMURRAY AB (CYMM)

Summary

2001-06-04: The pilot of C-GYYE, a Cessna 172, taxied and departed from Runway 07 at Fort McMurray without any calls to FSS. C-GYYE returned approximately one hour and twenty minutes later, was observed overhead the airport and joined the circuit for a right hand downwind for Runway 07. Again, no calls made to FSS by the pilot. The pilot of another a/c in the circuit during the return of C-GYYE attempted to call the aircraft and there was no response.
