Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)
2001-05-24: C-GFSB, a Beech King Air, departing Winnipeg International Airport had a bird strike, as reported by the pilot of helicopter Musket 106, which was on the ground near Runway 36. Information was passed to the crew of C-GFSB. The pilot of C-GFSB advised he saw the bird (believed to be a goose). C-GFSB continued on the flight and did not advise if there was any damage.
2001-05-30: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that Winnipeg Airport Authority has an active ongoing bird and wildlife program. They were made aware of the strike and will continue to monitor the bird activity around the airport and will report any abnormal movements.
