Incident at FORT MCMURRAY AB (CYMM)

Summary

2001-05-01: AM 28, a Cessna 207, was departing Fort McMurray for La Loche when the pilot reported an engine problem. He elected to return and landed without difficulty on Runway 25. One other a/c was slightly delayed for about 3 minutes. The nature of the engine problem is unknown.
2001-05-07: UPDATE M. & M. reported that the aircraft was subject to a maintenance post-flight inspection, ground run and released for flight with no maintenance findings. Company de-brief with the PIC indicate that engine operating procedures may not have been adhered to with regard to correct mixture operation.
