Incident at HIGH LEVEL AB (CYOJ)

2001-04-30: UPDATE ANS and Airspace reported that NAV CANADA advised that High Level transmitters receivers were checked immediately after the occurrence and were functioning satisfactorily. The helicopter departed the next day with a different pilot and radios checked out OK to 25 miles. High Level has an uncommon MF frequency 123.25 instead of the usual 122.1. The frequency was changed some time ago because of radio interference problems with 122.1
2001-04-26: At 2130Z, C-GGOZ, a Bell 206, landed at High Level and the only communication with the pilot was on short final, when he requested a radio check. After landing, the pilot reported that communication was attempted at 10 miles, 5 miles and 2 miles, with no response, but these three calls were not received by High Level FSS.
