Incident at THOMPSON MB (CYTH)

Summary

2001-04-18: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety advised that Thompson Airport personnel reported that the bird in question was a bunting and caused no damage to the aircraft. Airport maintenance staff removed the remains from the runway.
2001-04-17: The crew of CAV 3719, a Saab 340, advised that they had struck two small birds while on short final to Runway 05 at Thompson. They advised that no apparent damage was done to the aircraft. A runway inspection revealed the carcass of one small bird and assorted parts.
