Incident at TUKTOYAKTUK / JAMES GRUBEN NT (CYUB)

Summary

2001-03-20: The Aerospatiale 350 had departed Tuktoyaktuk VFR without filing a flight plan. However this may be in contravention of CARS 602.145. It is entirely possible that the pilot and aircraft were on a company flight notification. Perhaps Aerodrome Safety could look into this issue. This is the second CADORS of this type. Both involved helicopters which may have been on local flights with departures and destinations being Tuktoyaktuk.
