Incident at SASKATOON / JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER INTL SK (CYXE)
2001-03-14: UPDATE M. & M. reported that the takeoff was aborted due to the right engine not developing full power. The pilot returned to the ramp and several ground run-ups were carried out with the engine producing full rated power. The a/c subsequently returned to The Pas with no further problem noted. The Maintenance Director advised that this a/c had sat for approximately one month in Saskatoon undergoing a complete re-paint and the RH engine lower spark plugs were probably oil-fouled. Ground runs cleared up the situation and the a/c proceeded back to base.
2001-03-08: THE PILOT OF C-GYQD, A PIPER NAVAJO, REJECTED THE TAKE-OFF AT SAKATOON DUE TO A POWER LOSS. THE A/C RETURNED TO THE HANGAR LINE. NO OTHER A/C WERE DELAYED AND ERS WAS NOT REQUIRED.
