Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC) (Conflict - loss of separation, ATS operating irregularity)

2001-02-01: UPDATE ANS and Airspace reported that NAV CANADA will convene a Fact Finding Board.
2001-01-29: C-FCCM, a Piper Twin Comanche, was on approach to Runway 34 at Calgary with missed approach instructions, when ACA 168, an A320, was released by the tower for takeoff. When ACA 168 departed, C-FCCM was 2 miles behind the A320 and because the departure was a medium weight category and the overshoot aircraft was a light weight category, 4 miles wake turbulence separation is required.
