Incident at LA RONGE (BARBER FIELD) SK (CYVC) (Aerodrome - runway or taxiway surface condition)

Summary

2001-01-22: UPDATE TSB reported that as the aircraft turned, in preparation for departure, the right ski broke through crusted snow and the aircraft tipped, causing the right wing tip to contact the snow surface. The fibreglass wing tip on the right wing incurred damage. The pilot and his two passengers were not injured.
2001-01-16: The pilot of C-GMAO, a ski-equipped Cessna 185, was taxiing for departure from the ski strip adjacent to Runway 35 at La Ronge when the a/c tipped sideways near the intersection of Runways 17/35 and 10/28. A wing tip caught in the snow and caused some undetermined damage. The pilot taxied the a/c back to the company hangar. No other a/c were affected.
