Summary

2001-01-09: North Battleford airport staff conducted a runway check at 1326Z and determined that the runway lights were u/s. At the same time, the pilot of WEW 1640, a Cessna 402 inbound IFR from Saskatoon, called for an airport advisory estimating 10 minutes. WEW 1640 held for 15 minutes before the pilot decided to return to Saskatoon. A NOTAM was issued for the u/s lighting. At 1400Z, the airport manager advised that the runway lights were working and the NOTAM was cancelled.
