Incident at CALGARY / SPRINGBANK AB (CYBW)

Summary

2001-01-08: C-GIIK, a Cessna 172RG, was being rented for a local sight-seeing flight at Springbank and when the pilot returned, he was unable to lower the gear with the normal procedure. The pilot was able to get the gear down using the auxiliary hand-pumping method and the a/c landed safely. The a/c is currently being examined by company maintenance to determine the cause of the problem.
2001-03-08: UPDATE M. & M. reported that a broken microswitch was found on the gear. An SDR was requested.
