Summary

2001-10-25: AZA653 B767 enroute Toronto to Milan had a DEVIATION FROM ATC CLEARANCE- At 2315Z, AZA653 climbed without clearance from FL370 to FL390. prior to this time, AZA653 was in contact with the oceanic clearance delivery position in Gander ACC, and was told to ""expect flight level 390 for the crossing"". Moncton ACC recognized the clearance deviation on radar, and cleared AZA653 to descend to FL380 (appropriate altitude for direction of flight). No loss of separation, and no significant impact on ATS operations. Nil TSB
