Summary

2001-10-18: CFC4400 A310 enroute Montreal to Crete developed a cracked windshield on the pilot side, declared an Emergency and requested turnback to St. John's. An ATC clearance could not be issued due to traffic, so the pilot offset 30 nm. and descended to FL250 and was then given clearance back to St. John's. Landed St. John's at 180110z. Nil TSB
