Incident at CYAW


2001-08-29: CGXFT PA28 flight following from Bangor to Shearwater was handed off from Halifax terminal to Shearewater tower about 12 miles from the airport. Pilot advised the tower controller that he was caught ""On Top"". Tower changed aircraft to Shearwater radar and assisted pilot in his descent through a ""hole"". Aircraft landed without further incident. Pilot stated that he had ground contact throughout the flight. No other aircraft involvement. Nil TSB
