Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2001-08-24: Telephone call from a private citizen who advised that the last in a series of jets approaching Fredericton runway 33 from the west may have had something fall off into the Oromocto River. He did not observe anything falling from the aircraft but did observe something moving through the water at a rapid speed causing wake and foaming of the water. He could not discern what it was and could find nothing in the water when he inspected by boat. The last jet on approach to Fredericton rwy 33 was N101VJ which arrived runway 33 at 1514Z. The pilot was advised but nothing was found after a walkaround of the aircraft. Nil TSB
