Incident at CHARLOTTETOWN AIRPORT (Incursion - runway - pedestrian)


2001-08-20: At approximately 2025z a call was received from a Charlottetown Airport Authority commissionare that a woman was walking along the side of taxiway A heading from the main terminal towards the general aviation ramp. She was called to return but did not respond. At about the halfway point she, at times, set foot on the taxiway itself and near the end remained fully on the west side of the taxiway . The woman was a passenger on N9266Q which had arrived at 2004z from the US and had taxiied into the main terminal in order to contact CAN PASS with their arrival by phone. N9266Q subsequently called to proceed by taxiway A to general aviation, confirmed the woman was his passenger and then taxiied slowly on A until behind the woman and then followed behind her until she exited onto apron 2. No other aircraft involved. Nil TSB
