Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2001-11-19: Update Nov 16, 2001. The aircraft checklist was modified as necessary and a Standard Operating Procedure bulletin has been issued to all personnel. No further follow up action was required by MART.
2001-08-07: C172 CGUZC was enroute from Fredericton to Moncton , shortly after contact with the CYQM control tower the transponder was lost . Several attempts were made to contact the aircraft with no response . The aircraft was spotted visually and given the green light to land . The flight landed safely on runway 29 at 1244Z . Cause of the problem was determined as an electrical failure in flight. Nil TSB.
