Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2001-07-23: At 1625Z, Moncton ACC lost communications with CFNXZ (PA 28 IFR Moncton-Fredericton), last ETA for Fredericton 1640Z. Fredericton FSS reported sighting aircraft at 1638Z. Aircraft did a letdown and landed safely at 1640Z with no impact on traffic. Pilot called on outside line to say that the aircraft experienced a partial electrical failure losing his VHF tranmitter and transponder. He apparantly could hear but could not transmit. Flight then proceeded to CYSJ VFR. TSB case closed , more to follow
