Incident at ST. JOHN'S INTL NL (CYYT)

Summary

2001-06-28: TSB Update A01A0066: CHI22, an AS-332 L helicopter on a flight from Hibernia to St. John's had landed at St. John's at 1757 NDT. Shortly after landing, the crew advised St. John's tower of illumination of a fire warning light and requested ERS. The crew did not declare an emergency and there was no other indication of a fire; the crew reported the status of the warning light normal at 1810 NDT. Maintenance inspection revealed that the fire test switch was faulty; the switch has been replaced and the aircraft returned to service.
2001-06-27: CHI22 AS320 from the Hibernia Oil Rig to St. John's landed at 2027z. After landing aircraft advised St. John's Tower of fire warning indicator light and requested AFF. AFF responded, with no actual fire. No emergency declared. Status of warning light normal at 2040z. TSB Case closed with more info to follow.
