Accident at CHARLOTTETOWN NL (CCH4)

Summary

2001-06-08: TSB Update June 6, 2001. A01A0058: The Piper Navajo crashed shortly after take-off from Charlottetown, Newfoundland. Two passengers and the pilot were fatally injured, one passenger received serious injuries.
2001-06-08: CGMTT PA31 from Gander to Charlottetown Newfoundland (Labrador Coast)4 SOB. Observed leaving the Charlottetown Airport ""Very low"". The observer was unsure that the aircraft would remain airborn. He took off in his own aircraft, and located the crash site 2 miles NW of the airport, alongside of a roadway. Initial reports indicate 3 deceased, 1 survivor.
