Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Communication navigation surveillance/air traffic system)

Summary

2001-10-16: Update Oct 16, 2001 General Aviation. CADORS Narrative Update: The PIC was a licensed pilot and no further follow up action was required by MART.
2001-05-25: CFZTP C172 entered the Moncton Control Zone from the north with no transponder and no radios. Pilot had called prior to departing from Chatham stating he may experience an electrical failure enroute to Moncton but he would call on his cell phone, if required. His cellphone also failed so he orbited to the south of the airport. He attempted to join left base for runway 29 but gave way to a Dash8 on a wide left base for runway 29. He then proceeded northbound and received a signal from the tower (flashing green light followed by steady green) to land runway 24. Aircraft landed safely at 2036Z. Nil TSB
