Incident at Gander Oceanic between 40-50 west.


2001-05-09: AAL66 B777-200 enroute Chicago to Heathrow at 38,000 feet, declared a passenger medical emergency between 40-50 West in Gander Oceanic and requested clearance back to Goose Bay. Gander Oceanic was enable to issue clearance due to numerous traffic, however the flight was advised that 34,000 feet was available. AAL66 offset 30 nautical miles north and descended to 34,000 feet and then was cleared back to Goose Bay. Aircraft landed at 0616Z. NIL TSB
