Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ) (FOD (foreign object debris), Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

Summary

2001-04-30: ACA 174 DC9 on final approach runway 15 in Halifax from Montréal, was diverted to runway 06 due to possible blown tire debris found during field inspection . Runway 15 was deemed unserviceable and inbound aircraft including ACA 174 were sequenced for runway 06. It was not apparent whether debris occurred after an arrival or departure although runway 15 was being exclusive for arrivals. Airport Duty Manager and users were advised and runway 15/33 was re-opened at 1945Z. NIL TSB
