Incident at GOOSE BAY NL (CYYR)

Summary

2001-04-25: C-FHHH AS350BA aborted engine start due to strange noise coming from the engine. The manufacture's manual advise the pilots to listen for strange noises from the engine during start up, if noted the engine should be removed. The engine only had a couple of hours since overhaul. The engine has been removed and sent back to Turbomeca in Texas for evaluation . The operator is submitting a Service Difficulty Report. Nil TSB
