Incident at CHARLOTTETOWN AIRPORT (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

Summary

2001-01-31: CME301 PA31 enroute Halifax to Charlottetown P.E.I., landed in Charlottetown on runway 03 with a flat nose wheel tire. Aircraft taxied onto Taxiway ¿C¿ where it shutdown and waited for repairs. Company dispatch reported pilot noticed shimmering on touch down and suspects tire deflated on route to Charlottetown. Aircraft repairs were completed and Taxiway ¿C¿ was re-opened. No operational impact.
2001-02-05: Update Feb 2, 2001 Maintenance and Manufacturing. Cause of air loss could not be determined. Inner tube was torn by tire rotating on rim after going flat.
